Edwin Rodriguez
Edwin has come to the RFB with a fresh perspective by not having played in so many bands that he is jaded.
Edwin was born in Chicago and attended UIC where he majored in literature. He worked for the Chicago City Colleges for 20
years.He and his wife are recent transplants to Mt. Vernon, IL. The main reason they are there is for space to pland a garden
and be closer to family. (Both most excellent reasons.) Edwin's bass playing began with a family project. Every member of
the family was going to learn an instrument. Edwin chose bass and in 2001 started playing. Some of his favorites are
(in no particular order): Zep, Pink Floyd, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Beatles, Yes, Steely Dan, Rolling Stones,
Allman Brothers, Hector Lavoe and Frankie Ruiz.
Hailing from Chicago, Edwin has the roots to play the blues. And play he does!!
